How it all started
Supporters of Horticultural EDucation (PuebloSHED) was founded in 2015 by a passionate and dedicated group of Pueblo County Extension Master Gardeners who had a common goal: to spread their knowledge about the art and science of growing plants and foster a community of individuals who share their love for horticulture.
Our mission
We support the Colorado State University (CSU) Pueblo County Extension’s Horticulture Programs to expand research-based horticultural education and foster environmental stewardship by providing grants, scholarships, and in-kind support to the community to learn and teach others about sustainable horticultural techniques and the benefits thereof.
Our approach
We raise funds to support our mission through, membership dues, donations, and our annual plant sale. The plant sale is our biggest fund-raising event and we encourage every member to contribute to the success of the sale, through either volunteering their time, providing supplies, or purchasing plants. We collaborate with the Pueblo County Extension’s Master Gardener Program to provide horticulture expertise and in-kind support to teach, build and inspire individuals and organizations to successfully complete educational programs and gardening projects through our grant and scholarship programs.
We hold monthly meetings to discuss future and ongoing projects. All members are encouraged to attend and contribute their ideas and expertise to ensure our organization’s success.

“We are sowing the seeds of knowledge and nurturing a greener, more vibrant future for Pueblo and the surrounding areas.”
Di Graski – President, PuebloSHED
